Achille Binyang obtained a BSc. in Biology from the University of Dschang in 2011. He then studied for his MSc in medical entomology under the supervision of Dr Josiane Etang at the University of Douala, graduating in 2015. His MSc project funded by WHO focused on Anopheles coluzzii ecology and insecticide resistance mechanisms in Manoka island of Cameroon. In 2017, Achille started his PhD under the supervision of Dr Charles Wondji at the University of Yaounde I.
His PhD research work at CRID is geared towards investigating the impact of insecticide resistance on the sialome composition of natural populations of malaria vectors Anopheles gambiae using RNAseq and the impact of the sialome changes on the ability of sporozoite to invade salivary glands.
