During the 6th PAMCA Annual Conference in Yaoundé Cameroon, the Director of the Centre for Applied Entomology and Parasitology at University of Keele, United Kingdom, Prof Frederic Tripet and the Head of the Medical Entomology Laboratory of the Institut de Recherche en Science de la Santé/Centre Muraz, Burkina Faso Dr Abdoulaye Diabaté paid a friendly visit to the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID).
After going from publication and poster viewing to our well-equipped molecular laboratory and interacting with researchers, Prof Frederic Tripet congratulates CRID for its excellent organisation of work.
“I am glad to have withnessed the great work been done at The CRID” he said after his visit.
And Dr Diabate added: “we need more south-south collaboration to control vector-borne diseases and IRSS is looking forward to working more with CRID as already started with the PIIVeC programme”.
CRID is glad to have welcomed such distinguished scientists to its premises and wish them well.
As an international research centre in the heart of Central Africa, CRID has since its inception made its research environment friendly to accommodate all levels of researchers to meet Sub-Saharan African needs of fighting against infectious diseases.
