The first class of masters supervised by the LSTM defended its research on Friday, July 21, 2017, in the walls of the University of Yaoundé, home university of the candidates of the day.
The students YOUGANG Aurélie and KUICHEU Carine having respectively worked on the evaluation of the spatio-temporal distribution and the insecticide resistance profile of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus (Diptera: Culicidae) vectors of arboviruses in the city of Yaounde Cameroon and the impact of insecticide resistance on Plasmodium spp. in Anopheles funestus Giles, 1900 major vector of malaria in Cameroon. They were supervised individually by Dr. Charles WONDJI and at the university by Professor Flobert NJIOKOU, a teacher in this institution.
The research unit of the LSTM offers university students from Cameroon, the ability to perform laboratory analyzes as part of their research and thus helps to develop the research capabilities of the younger generations
This defense was the opportunity for the candidates to present and discuss the results they reached before the jury of the day. After presentations and discussions, the candidates’ work was found to be of excellent quality and therefore accepted by the jury as they were awarded they Master degree.
